Children’s Mission Moments

Across Africa, children need our love and support because their parents have died from sickness and disease. Every day, 6,000 children become orphans due to HIV/AIDS. Your church's participation in ZOE Children's Mission Moments will make a lasting difference in the lives of many children. While these were originally created as a Vacation Bible School resource, the moments can also be adapted for use throughout the year. ZOE also has a full VBS program "Journey to Blessing Bakery" and a mission program designed for middle and high school students. Read more about the Seed Grant Challenge for Youth. ZOE Ministry’s Inspiration

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12 Amanda Eckelkamp Batten was just 15 years old in the fall of 2001 when she walked into her pastor’s office to announce her intent to spend the following summer working with AIDS orphans in Africa. Neither Amanda nor her pastor, the Rev. Greg Jenks, had any idea of the chain of events that Amanda’s witness set in motion and resulted in the establishing of ZOE Ministry. You were just ...

Hope Walk – Youth Helping Youth

These orphans receive and embody the love of Christ in amazing ways—which is where Hope Walk comes in! This is ...

Stories of Hope: Penenah

Like so many children, Penenah was orphaned at a young age and left with siblings to care for. At the tender age of 12, she was left to provide for a younger brother. An uncle quickly stole the best of the land Penenah’s parents had left for her. Hungry, alone and frightened, Penenah was approached by a man with the offer of $8 and some bread. With a hungry brother at home, and no other options before her, this young girl accepted. Penenah became pregnant and gave birth. ZOE began working with Penenah two years ago. A recent ZOE workteam met Penenah, ...
